The recipient of a bachelor's degree in biology from Washington University, Dr. Joseph Galdun subsequently earned a doctor of medicine degree from Indiana University, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors medical society and later completed an internal medicine residency and served as chief resident. In 2001, Joseph Galdun, MD, began working as a cardiology night hospitalist at St. Vincent Hospital, where, among other duties, he was responsible for admitting cardiology patients (including ICU patients) and accepting emergency air transfers.

Dr. Joseph Galdun worked in this capacity for 16 years before accepting his current position with the Fayette Regional Health System. In addition to performing the duties required of a hospitalist, Dr. Galdun serves as the facility's medical director of hospital medicine and is tasked with scheduling and developing electronic order sets, among other administrative duties.

Active beyond his immediate duties, Dr. Galdun serves as a member of the hospital's Credentials Committee, Medical Record Review Committee, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He also supplements his professional pursuits through membership with the Indiana State Medical Association.
